CHIP MemberCards are Coming Soon
Members who currently have a MemberCard will be receiving a new Chip MemberCard containing the latest in chip technology, offering a whole new level of security and peace of mind. Chip cards are virtually impossible to replicate which provides significant protection against card counterfeiting and fraud. Even though these new chip cards incorporate sophisticated new technology, they are easy to use. At your local ATM, you won't notice any difference. You'll see a change when you use your new card at a Point of Sale terminal where your card will remain in the terminal during the entire transaction. It will take time for all stores and restaurants to be set up with chip-enabled terminals so to help with this transition, your new card will also have a magnetic stripe to make sure it continues to work in older terminals. Your ATM and Point of Sale limits will remain the same.
What's Next? First, you will receive the PIN for your new chip card. Keep your new PIN safe and don't disclose it to anyone. A few days later, you'll receive your new chip card and you can begin using your card immediately. You can change your PIN at Firefighters' Branch or Health Branch during regular business hours or change it at our ATM 24/7 at 365 Richmond Road. Please be sure to test your new card before destroying your old one.
Is your Address Correct? If you've moved recently please contact the Credit Union so that we can update your address to ensure you receive your new card and PIN without delay.
